Anita V. Schepp

Anita V. Schepp, 77, of Janesville, WI passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at her home with her family at her side. Anita was born in Loganville, WI on March 4, 1933, the second of twelve children of Henry and Anna (Ribbke) Horstmann. She graduated from Reedsburg High School in 1951. She married Conrad D. Schepp on May 2, 1953 in Rock Springs, WI. Anita was formerly employed by Industrial Coil in Baraboo and was a start up employee at the Circus World Museum. She had been a Janesville resident since 1964 and was an active member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Anita was a 4-H leader for over 25 years. She was active in numerous women’s bowling leagues in Janesville for many years and a member of the Optimist Club since 1989.

Surviving are 3 children, Gary Schepp of Ft. Wayne, IN, Danielle (Jeffrey) Reese of Wind Lake, WI, Deanna (John) Traver of Janesville, 7 grandchildren, Phillip Schepp, Bradley Reese, Gregory Reese, Eric Reese, Nathaniel Traver, Jared Traver, Mackenzie Traver, 11 brothers and sisters, Syvilla Rego, Carl Horstmann, Janette Ninneman, Henry (Gloria) Horstmann, Herman Horstmann, Reuben (Sharon) Horstmann, Lila Shimniok, Loretta (Gerald) Henry, Roy Horstmann, Ellen Horstmann, Glenda Horstmann and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Schepp on January 7, 2011. Anita was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janean Schepp and her parents.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 709 Milton Avenue, Janesville with Vicar Joel Voss officiating. Private entombment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21st at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville and at the Church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mathew’s Lutheran School or Lakeside Lutheran High School.
